John Clamp, Executive Director, San Antonio Hotel & Lodging Association, 02/22/2014
John G. Clamp is a former member of the San Antonio City Council, having served from 2007 until 2011. As a member of the City Council, Mr. Clamp focused on representing over 150k constituents by implementing over 25 new ordinances, the passing of three property tax rate decreases, and providing excellent communication and customer service to his constituents. His experience and service on the Metropolitan Planning Organization helped secure funding for numerous projects to include the completion of Wurzbach Parkway.
Mr. Clamp is currently the Executive Director for the San Antonio Hotel & Lodging Association (SAHLA). His experience and community service are key in guiding SAHLA as a major stakeholder in the hospitality industry.
Mr. Clamp earned a Masters of Business Administration, concentration in Finance, from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1997 and a Bachelors of Business Administration, concentration in Accounting, from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1987. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker.
